Academic Environment
It is comprised of two sections - Junior and Senior Secondary Schools:
Basic 7 – 9 (Junior Secondary School)
Both qualitative and quantitative method of learning is being given out to students at this level of education. A conducive learning environment with qualified teachers of International standard are in place to impact the students with the right knowledge in order to prepare them for their external examinations (JSCE & NECO) and International examinations (Checkpoint).
SSS 1 – 3 (Senior Secondary School)
Students from year 10 (SSS 1) are prepared for the final year challenge of secondary education. Our qualified teachers are on ground preparing students for National Examination Council (NECO), West Africa Examination Certificate (WAEC) and International General Certificate School Examination (IGCSE).
Our students are well equipped with Internet access, relevant textbooks (home and foreign) to enhance their learning. Each student is attached to a mentor who guides their career choices with the assistance of a trained guidance counselor. This section is divided into four departments in line with the future career path that a student chooses.
Departments•
Art/Language Department
The Arts/Language department is equipped with qualified teachers and ultra-modern music room and students and other items that enhance their creative thinking. Also, the department has on ground co – curricula activities like the Press Club, Literary and Debate Club, Spelling Bees quiz, among others. This department comprises of English, Yoruba, French, Arabic, IRS and Qur'anic studies.
• Science Department
This department has qualified teachers and well organized laboratories with modern equipment to meet with international standard, among which we have Physics Laboratory, Biology Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, ICT laboratory, etc. This department comprises of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Social Science DepartmentThe department has qualified teachers and a well equipped typing pool for Business studies practical. It also has on ground co-curricular activities like the business club, and Geographers’ club (where information technology is applied to teaching and learning process). This department comprises of Accounting, Commerce, Economics and Business Studies.
• Vocational Department
This department comprises of Agricultural science, Home economics, Basic Technology, Physical and Health Education and Visual and Creative Arts.Guidance and Counseling UnitStudents have been assisted to solving problems in education, vocation and other spheres of life. Students are groomed to study, grow and develop in an anxiety free environment, in order to fit into any society in which they find themselves in the future.
All subjects examinable in WASCE, NECO & GCE are offered in the school - Plus Qur'an, Arabic Language, Moral Instruction and memorization of glorious Qur’an. The tutorial department of the school also prepares students for JAMB, NECO & WASCE.
Moreover, there are various clubs for extra-curricular activities for every student to realize his/her potentials. The clubs are Literary and Debating, Hifz Club, Jet Club, Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Martial Art Club (Taekwondoe) and Press Club.
For the management of our students affective and psychological development the school has a unique counseling system. In this arrangement, each student is allocated to a teacher - mentor who cares for the academic moral and psychological well being of his/her student.
